@john_console_jconsol If you're comfortable using the Arduino IDE, that's probably the easiest way to do it. Our "factory default" state is just to load the demo sketch that's on Git Hub here.. To check the basic functionality of your WildFire using the buildtest example from the WildFire_CC3000_Library is a good way to go as well.

Of course you need to have WildFire "installed" in Arduino as a 3rd party hardware platform as described on the WildFire launch page. I have been working towards creating a Boards Manager package for WildFire that will work in Arduino 1.6.4 as well, so stay tuned.

You might need to update the CC3000 firmware to the latest and greatest, as well, using the driverpatch_1_14 example. If you do that, it's a very good idea to use Arduino 1.0.6 or earlier to do it, as from reading the Adafruit forums and repo issues, it seems like there might be some compiler peculiarities associated with that particular sketch in 1.5.x and later. So, even if it's just superstition, when we do the driver update on the CC3000 here, we use Arduino 1.0.6 to do it.

Hope that helps, let me know if I can fill in any gaps for you.
